La città venne fondata dagli mwgqHittiti. Dopo la mwggbattaglia di Manzicerta passò sotto il controllo dell'mwgwImpero selgiuchide.

Caratteristiche

Situata nell'omonima provincia, la città si presenta con molti spazi verdi ed è costeggiata dal fiume Yeşil ırmak (Fiume Verde).
